Automatone
Chase Bliss includes a Field Notes booklet with every pedal, which I like to keep tucked away in the packaging. Their website has PDFs of the booklets that aren't the most mobile friendly, so I made one that is, for all three Automatones: the Big Time, CXM 1978, and Preamp MKII.

Slide a fader, tap a button or a footswitch
03.1 — Click around
It's live on the link below. Tap some things, slide some things... just click around a bunch, you can't break it.
03.2 — Pages
- MAINTop level, obvious controls
- ALTWhat's hiding under that, Big Time only
- SWITCHESThose clicky things
- PRESETSEvery factory preset, by bank
03.3 — The manual
It stays in the box
I like keeping all my pedal boxes organized and in good condition. It might be overkill, but I'm planning on handing these down to my kiddos someday so it's important to keep everything in good condition
03.4 — The interface
Click something
The pedal is to the left and the manual is on the right. All the presets will slide the faders accordingly. I tried to get behavior as close to the real thing as possible.
03.5 — The switcher
Three pedals, one chassis
All three Automatones are built on the same chassis: six faders, five buttons, a display and two footswitches. So it was really just mapping the controls for each pedal to the shared interface.
03.6 — The design
Three colors, two faces
The Chase Bliss mark is three shapes. They move in from the left, giggle, bounce, and other anitics. The goal was a Pixar type cuteness, not sure I got there.
Three colors doing all the work here. Cyan slides, coral clicks, purple is hiding something. Learn it once and you don't need a legend, because I never built one. Flip to light mode and you get the CXM 1978 instead, which brings its own blue and red.
